Project: Hug was first released at Elva Birch’s webpage as a branching narrative escape, each choice leading the reader to a unique flash fiction hug. The original version is still available at her webpage, but the project has been expanded here with more possible outcomes and put into a more convenient form for reading on the go.

Select a hug with romantic overtones, or a completely platonic hug, a hug from a child, an animal, a woman, a man, a friend, a pile of guys...even an alien or a plant! Each story is a brief, satisfying moment of comfort, sweet or spicy to your own taste.
